Badgers BBQ Sauce was born from a simple realization: if we were going to serve true, wood‑smoked BBQ, we couldn’t settle for store‑bought sauce. We needed our own.
After years of trial and error, we crafted a handcrafted sauce with universal appeal—bold, balanced, and unmistakably ours. We bottle it ourselves, no co‑packers, because every jar carries the same care and grit that goes into our BBQ.


The success of our Original recipe inspired us to give the sauce its own name. What started as Wood River BBQ Sauce evolved into Badgers BBQ Sauce, a nod to our fan‑favorite Honey Badger blend and the spirit of tenacity it represents.


At Wood River BBQ, we do things the hard way—the right way. We cook with real, locally sourced wood, never pellets or processed fuels. Our meats are smoked using trees that naturally needed to come down, not from large‑scale harvesting. That same respect for nature shows up in our packaging too: glass bottles with metal lids, chosen for sustainability and recyclability.
